How could you say that about ZAP when they have delivered over 100,000 electric vehicles (bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, mopeds, ATVs, LSVs, Xebras and many others)? They have customers in 75 countries, been in business since 1994, are a fully reporting public company with thousands of shareholders. ZAP management includes a 30-year auto dealer veteran, a 35+ year EV advocate, entrepreneur, and Albert Lam, who stepped down as CEO of Lotus Engineering to take part in the joint venture between ZAP and China Youngman.

The diversity of fuel sources used in electrical generation is one of the main reason electrics are cleaner. A study by EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) showed that millions of plug-in cars could be charged on the grid using off-peak electricity without any additional pollution.

Environmental safety of Lithium-Ion batteries? Lithium is the safest to the environment and has a much great cycle life than other technologies. That battery pack won't be $20,000 either.

Kent Beuchert is always a laugh a minute. He claims electric cars are really really bad (except for the GM Volt, he wants to buy one of those) because, for example, electricity is generated by coal. So, you'd think he'd be a fan of renewables. Not so. He like to slam solar and wind wherever he can as he winds his way through the internets.
Google his name sometime and check it out. Oh, and speaking of Alias. you could try "thebike45" as well. That's him too.

Sure, same old scam. Lure the yokels into the showroom with
speed to make them forget that this car may go fast, but can't go far, and costs a lot, both now and in five years when its $20,000 battery pack of obsolete 1st generation li ion batteries go south (which may scotch their lies about how cheap the car is to operate). Why would any fool spend this kind of money on a car from a fly-by-night scam company that has never produced anything faster than a golf cart. Vaporware, most likely. Notice the lack of details on the dirty little secrets (like the coal generated grid electricity that powers this little "zero emisions ehicle." Only airhead California politicians have the gall to claim
fossil fuel generated electricity is "zero emissions." With logic like that, global warming is going to be here for sure. A 40 mile plug-in can do everything this car can, a lot cheaper and by providing the consumer with a bona fide automobile that actually can meet their needs. Thsi stuff is rubbish, liked mostly by the braindead younger generation of conspiracy morons.
